Caylene Vincent
Caylene is an author, safety consultant, human resources professional and horse whisperer.
Her entrepreneurial spirit became evident when she started selling paua and scallop shell as ashtrays at the age of six. Years later, after holding many senior management roles in human resources and safety, Caylene founded her own consulting firm, Safety Xperts.
In addition to her bachelor’s degree in human resources and diploma in occupational health and safety, Caylene holds a number of qualifications. They include a Cert IV in investigative services, a Cert IV in occupational health and safety, a Cert IV in life coaching, as well as qualifications in NLP, hypnosis and Cert IV in equine massage.
Caylene has worked with and in many large & SME organisations, including the City of Ballarat, Parks Victoria, St. John of God Healthcare, Nicholson Construction, Premier Plumbing, Flowserve, Alstom, No Bolt Scaffold, The Dried Fruit Company, Cooper Morrison, Goodman Fielder, Buxton Construction & AMR Hewitts Print Packaging.
Professional associations have included the Safety Institute of Australia, the Ballarat Regional OH&S (BROSH), the National Safety Council, YMCA Ballarat, the Maxitrans Superannuation Fund, the Australian Institute of Human Resources, (AHRI) the Australian Industry Group – Ballarat & Wimmera (AIG), and the Master Builders OHS Committee.
In her spare time, Caylene enjoys her involvement in sports activities. She was the first woman in Australia (and the world) to referee A Grade Rugby League, to obtain a Level 2 Australian Rugby Coach qualification, and to officiate at the International Amateur Rugby League tournament in Holland. She is also an A Grade basketball referee and coach.
Caylene has had a lifelong love and involvement with horses, having broken in and trained her first horse at the age of 13. For the past 18 years, she has bred and successfully shown and competed quarter horses, stock horses, and warmbloods. These efforts and dedication has seen her win many awards & competitions with her horses, including Show Horse of the year with champion mare Hon Kwok Pearl.
She has travelled and worked throughout New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Scotland, the United States, Fiji, Singapore, Paris, Italy, Venice, the Netherlands, Spain, Greece, and Austria.
