David Kight

David is an author, educator, and highly esteemed sports management professional.


A lifelong sports enthusiast, at the age of 15, David caddied for Greg Norman during the filming of the golf legend’s first golf video. While a student, David excelled in cricket, football and golf.

After graduating from La Trobe University with a degree in education, David went on to complete his Master’s degree in sports management from Deakin University.

Throughout his career, David has worked with many sports organisations, including Racing Victoria, Cricket Victoria, Tennis Victoria and Golf Victoria. He has also had the pleasure of working with Australian Rules football players Shane Crawford and Luke Hodge, as well as comedian Peter Helliar.

He is also a man with diversified interests. David is a talented photographer who has won awards for the striking images he has captured. Additionally, he has won awards for his comedic impersonations.

David’s professional associations include membership in the Victorian Institute of Teaching and the Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation.

An avid traveller, he has travelled and worked in Russia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, the Greek Islands, Egypt, Ireland, Scotland, the United States of America, Thailand and most of Europe.

David Kight is the author of Revelations of a Tour Caddie and lives in Victoria, Australia with his wife and two children.
