EO, Business Coach and Mentor, Planning and Development Strategist, Consultant, and Author Successful entrepreneur and serial business owner Greg Roworth is a sought-after consultant and business mentor.
His accomplishments in running and guiding businesses in Australia and New Zealand have generated great demand for his leadership and business skills which were on full display in his books “Put Your Business on Autopilot” and its sequel, “Run Your Business on Autopilot.” Greg’s business career began in 1978 when he launched his own company in the irrigation industry, Aquarius Sprinkler System. By the time he sold the business 12 years later Aquarius had installed more than 1,000 systems in Adelaide and SA including Adelaide Oval, Lindsay ParkStud, and St. Peter’s College.
He also picked up the Toro Installer of the Year award. After selling Aquarius, Greg focused on business consultancy and started as a consultant at Uniconsult Pty. Ltd.
Upon obtaining his degree in Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) from the University of South Australia he established his own accountancy/bookkeeping practice in 1992 called Precise Bookkeeping. He sold this business in 1997, the same year he qualified as a CPA. Greg’s next endeavour was born out of his passion for guiding small business owners to success and had already begun to take shape with the creation in 1995 of Progressive Business Solutions.
Greg’s expertise as a business planning specialist was winning him wide acknowledgement. In 1999 Greg and his family moved to New Zealand when he took up a position as branch manager of Macrocom Computers. After two years in Christchurch, Greg was promoted to the general manager post in Wellington.
Not long afterwards an opportunity was received to take up a consultancy role with KPMG one of the Big 4 firms in the accountancy world. By 2002 Greg founded and was CEO of his New Zealand-based business consulting and coaching company, Progressive Business Solutions, Ltd. with offices in both Wellington and Auckland. In 2005 Greg completed his MBA in Business Management. After setting up two branches and selling three franchises of PBS Ltd., Greg sold the business and with wife Janis embarked on an extensive tour of Europe, Asia, and Australia.
They moved back to Australia in 2009 to assist with the care of Janis’ parents and it was this year that Greg wrote his book “Put Your Business on Autopilot” which was published by Morgan James Publishing. The sequel, “Run Your Business on Autopilot,” published in 2014 presents recent learnings and models which explain in an easy to follow manner, the critical elements of succeeding in your own business.
