Ian Davies
Author, Educator, Entrepreneur, Tutor, and Life Coach
Ian is an international author, educator, and highly sought-after tutor and life coach. Although Ian now excels at motivating students, he recalls failing kindergarten and just barely surviving secondary school. One of the things that kept him going at school was his strong interest in sport. In his youth, Ian was an award-winning athlete that excelled in tennis, football, golf, volleyball, badminton, and squash. Ian’s desire to improve the lives of others led him to Ballarat Teachers College. After becoming a qualified primary school teacher, he proudly served as the headmaster of Macorna Primary School and Jung Primary School and then worked in special education at Pleasant Creek Special School for 11 years.
After retiring from teaching, Ian returned to farming having been raised on a dairy and sheep farm and carting sheaf hay for $12 a day when he was 15 years old. He converted his farm to biodynamic farming principles and worked as a professional wool classer for other local farms for more than 20 years. However, education was never far from Ian’s thoughts. During this period he spent 11 years on Concongella School Council, serving 3 of those years as School Council President. Fortunately for those Ian has helped over the years, he began to tutor his neighbour’s kids. After word of his success spread and he realised the satisfaction he felt from helping kids overcome their anxiety about learning,
Ian decided to offer professional tutoring and coaching and launched Aussie Kids Coach in 2008. He has written a number of educational self help books and programs which sell across the world such as:

Seeking to do the most good wherever he went, Ian shared his talents as a tutor and coach at Halls Gap Primary School, Concongella Primary School, Stawell Secondary School, Marian College, as well as his private clients.
To further improve his skills, Ian completed Cert IV in Life Coaching at the Life Coaching Institute of Australia, as well as Strategic Intervention training and Marriage Education and Divorce Prevention training at the Robbins-Madanes Training Centre.
Ian the entrepreneur now operates three related businesses in addition to his farm business: Aussie Kids Coach, Aussie Business Tools, and Your Aussie Life Coach.
Ian is a life member of the Stawell Athletic Club where he is the Corporate Marquee Coordinator and a member of the Finance Sub-Committee. He takes pride in having never missed seeing a Stawell Gift Final live. Ian is also a member of Legacy Australia through the Ararat Legacy Club, and he is a member of the Biodynamic Agriculture Association of Australia.
Ian is also an avid traveler, having visited New Zealand multiple times as well as the west coast of Canada and the west coast of the United States.
