This is called “affiliate marketing”, earning a commission on each sale he made. Before that he worked for a large consulting firm in disaster recovery planning for 8 years. It was a good living but he grew tired of the three hours a day commute. When his wife fell pregnant in 2005 he knew he wanted to be closer to home so he could watch his child grow up.

So he turned his attention to online businesses and although he struggled at first (in fact it took him eight months before he made any decent money) in a short space of time he was able to grow is income to seven figures a year. Last year he sold over $6 million worth of products and his commission on those sales was $3.2 million.
