Mike Dowsett

Author, business engineer and entrepreneur

Having earned his bachelor’s degree in applied physics, Mike has worked in the engineering field for more than 27 years and takes pride in the fact that he has spent 20 of those years in a managerial role. His talent for leadership became apparent early in his career, when he was 26 years of age and without prior management experience, moved to Malaysia and successfully ran an office of six people.

Mike credits his success to having an uncommon ability to analyse complex data and simplify it into easily understandable concepts. He gets excited about innovation, efficiency and systems.

Himself an entrepreneur, Mike enjoys leading a family of entrepreneurs, with his wife and each of his three sons all running their own businesses.

Mike’s interests are wide and varied, with professional associations ranging from the Australian Acoustical Society to Writers Victoria and the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and his accomplishments including a black belt in Taekwondo.

He has travelled and worked throughout the United States, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Macau, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain.
